Title
Poverty-Environment Interactions in Agriculture: Key Factors and Policy Implications
Description
Researchers have identified key factors which condition poverty-environment interactions in relation to agriculture. Macroeconomic and sectoral policies influence these interactions; with diverse impacts on different groups of poor people, the environments they use, and their scope for positive adaptation. By understanding these factors, it is possible to design policies and programs that jointly address rural poverty and environment objectives. Promising strategies are highlighted.
